Fun & Family-Friendly Things to Do in Las Vegas This October

Who else is excited for October?  I know I am! It’s one of my favorite months of the year. The weather cools down, Halloween decorations go up, and family fun is everywhere. From pumpkin patches in Las Vegas to spooky haunted houses and festive fall events, here are the best Las Vegas Halloween events 2025 for the whole family with direct links included for details, tickets, and schedules.

Haunted Houses & Spooky Attractions

Universal Horror Unleashed at AREA15

Vegas’s newest year-round haunted attraction. Multiple haunted houses inspired by Universal Monsters and Blumhouse films make this a must-see. Best for teens and adults (not recommended for under 13).

Zak Bagans’ Haunted Museum

A true Las Vegas legend, this haunted attraction features more than 30 rooms packed with chilling artifacts and spine tingling stories. It is perfect for older kids, horror fans, and thrill seekers alike. Step inside if you dare and come face to face with the infamous Annabelle doll from The Conjuring franchise, one of the museum’s most notorious residents.

Las Vegas Haunted Houses

These are the scariest and largest haunted houses in Nevada a must for serious thrill-seekers.

  • Hotel Fear: Step inside the twisted tale of the Feoray family, whose hotel became the scene of the infamous “Feoray Incident.” Mortimer Feoray’s terrifying rampage turned the once-thriving inn into a nightmare known as Hotel Fear. Rumors say Room 13 still holds secrets you won’t forget.

  • Asylum: Set in the decaying Meadview facility, the Asylum immerses you in Dr. Vander’s dark experiments. Government secrets, “cures” gone wrong, and strange electrical disturbances make this tour feel disturbingly real. Be prepared you may not know who’s a patient and who’s a monster.

These two attractions are storytelling at its best—creepy lore, immersive sets, and scares around every corner. They’re not for the faint of heart, but if you want the ultimate haunted house experience in Las Vegas, this is it.

Founded in the 1920s, this desert oasis has become the ultimate fall destination for families, food lovers, and anyone looking for the perfect seasonal photo.

HallOVeen at Opportunity Village is one of the most beloved family Halloween events in Las Vegas. Each October, the 2.5-acre Magical Forest is transformed with glowing jack-o’-lanterns, silly skeletons, and hundreds of decorated trees. The atmosphere is more playful than scary, making it a perfect fit for kids and families. Guests can enjoy rides, mini golf with a spooky twist, trick-or-treat stations, carnival games, live entertainment, and plenty of seasonal treats. Friendly witches, costumed characters, and photo-worthy displays make it a must-visit tradition, while adults can relax at the beer garden on select nights.
